The Club is fortunate to have a choice of OO Gauge Layouts at present, they are different sizes and styles, with a large 4 track Oval Layout for running both DC and DCC Locomotives, Members find this very useful for running in and testing and it has the ability to host multiple DCC users at the same time via an Arduino based control system.
The second smaller oval layout is primarily for running in and testing of new or re-built locos, it’s self contained to one board and needs the minimum of setting up time, and has proved to be more useful than some people initially realised.
The Club Meeting Room enables both of them to be set up at the same time with ample operational area for train drivers to do their thing.
If you have any questions relating to the layouts and what to run on them please feel free to contact either Martyn Feneley on martyn@thewmrc.co.uk or Track Electric Supervisor Tom O’Hara on tom@thewmrc.co.uk alternatively you could pop into the club on any Wednesday Club Night where you will generally find them attending to the Clubs Layout.

WobbleLight: Rugged 360° Worksite Lighting
WobbleLight is a heavy-duty portable lighting solution built for construction sites, industrial facilities, emergency response, and mining operations. Its defining feature is a self-righting design: if the light is knocked over, it automatically returns upright and continues illuminating without downtime.
Each WobbleLight delivers 360-degree illumination, eliminating shadows across large work areas. High-output models reach up to 40,000 lumens, providing uniform, room-filling light suitable for demanding tasks and safety-critical environments.
Designed for harsh conditions, WobbleLights use a polycarbonate dome and reinforced housing to withstand impacts, kicks, and equipment contact. Despite their rugged build, they remain portable, with integrated handles for easy repositioning on site.
Available in multiple configurations, WobbleLights come in corded or battery-powered** versions, with LED or halide options depending on brightness and runtime needs. Many models stay cool to the touch and are rated for use in damp or wet locations.
Why professionals choose WobbleLight:
Continuous light even when knocked over
Full 360° area coverage
High lumen output for large spaces
Long service life and reduced replacement costs
Proven durability in real jobsite conditions
WobbleLight is built for crews that need reliable light, not fragile equipment. When visibility matters, it delivers consistent performance shift after shift.
