ITEM 7. : EXHIBITION MANAGERS REPORT
The Exhibition Manager gave a report regarding the planning for the 2027 show. The venue has been booked and the expected fee for the extra heating has been waved. All the layouts and traders have been booked. One change will be loss of TTC but this will be mitigated by the inclusion of Digitrains.
The cost of the layouts will be a little higher than 2026. The hotel costs should be less as there are fewer layouts requiring accommodation. It is proposed to keep the entry fees the same as last year.

ITEM 8. : ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
a. A discussion took place regarding the booking of Vans to transport layouts to shows. Europa Van Hire has been the
go-to provider but has now moved its operation out of Lincoln. The discussion highlighted the fact that hire companies are increasing the deposits required and reducing the age of people who they will hire to. It was noted that this could be a problem in the future with an aging membership and fewer younger members joining the club.
b. The plan to invite proposals for a new club layout has been a moderate success with some plans having been submitted.
The Chairman reiterated his stance that the order of things must be :
i. Complete the building of the storage facility.
ii. Clear the club room to create space
iii. Completing the test track
iv. Arranging for running sessions to be held in the main hall once or twice a month.
v. Then and only then will the new layout planning process take place.
c. An EGM will be called on Thursday 17th September to discuss the process for the new layout. The Secretary to post a notice and arrange the meeting.
